Doctors, orthodontists, paediatricians, social workers, vets… geez. I think its time to stop and smell the roses or preferably the campfire smoke!

We’ve had a rather hectic year with too many big decisions to make, sickness, appointments and car problems.  Its all gotten a bit too much and if I had time I might sit down and cry, actually no I’m more the kind of person to get angry and want to break something!  How do people with bigger families cope with all the activities, sport, appointments, decisions that are required to keep a family going!?  I have a friend who has 6 kids and often wonder how she does it.  We only have 3 kids (and thats only been the case for 8 months!) so I’m often saying to myself forgoodness sake woman get a grip, its can’t be that hard!!  But I’ve found this year very draining and it seems we don’t stop and have fun very much anymore.

Thank God for family & friends.. I have to say this weekend was a refreshing break from the normally chaotic weekend routine.  My son has been sick for 3 months now which meant he couldn’t go to his basketball game and training – YAY – we got a whole weekend off of chauffeur driving!  It was so nice to spend Saturday arvo/evening around the campfire with our old friends the Barnes.  There is something very therauptic about chatting with friends you’ve known forever.  The lollies, unidentifiable sausages and wine certainly added to the enjoyment too.
